Re: Oral AMB experience
I respect your knowledge, commitment and determination to beat Candida, however until you have actually beaten candidiasis, you cannot know for certain that you will one day be able to stop antifungals without rebound Candida. Your strategy is logical, but until you actually succeed it is only theory.
Sorry to sound so negative. I'm not saying taking prescription antifungals cannot work. I'm just not convinced. I'm not aware of anyone who has succeeded taking this path. Sure, you can argue that everyone who has failed didn't take enough antifungals, or for long enough. However this is an argument often used to defend treatment failure, regardless of the treatment protocol. The patient is blamed for not sticking to the treatment religiously enough, or for long enough. Using this approach the treatment never fails, it is always the patient's fault for not sticking with it long enough.
Do you know of anyone who has succeeded with strong prescription antifungals? Once again I apologise for my negativity, but I think I have a legitmate concern that I may make my situation worse by going down the path of taking an azole. But I don't have any other solution either, so I may end up taking Sporanox.
