Re: AF worse when first going off sugar?
I finished reading Dr. Doug Graham's 80-10-10 book and he says fat is the root cause of illnesses like Candiasis and Type II Diabetes and can also lead to AF because excess fats coat and block the insulin receptors on our cells preventing insulin to "unlock" the cell's doors to allow glucose in and that causes glucose to start building up in the bloodstream causing the pancreas to overwork to keep pumping out insulin for the high blood
Sugar and when the pancreas starts to get sluggish as a result, the adrenals start to pickup the slack by secreting adrenaline to jumpstart the pancreas to try to keep producing insulin. Candida he says is the body's backup system to combat high blood
Sugar in case the pancreas is unable to and the candida population starts to bloom from feeding off all the excess
Sugar in the blood that was indirectly caused by excess fat blocking the glucose absorption process.
Carbs are converted to glucose to fuels all our cells, so if you cut carbs to try to starve the candida, you're also inadvertently starving all your cells. Your body will then start converting the protein in your muscles and fats to sugar to fuel the cells, but that's much more energy wasting for the body.
