I checked under Google to see what motility meant. Did you ever read up on it? I scanned thru the University of Carolina.
Since it was a quick scan, I got the impression that the problem can be in 1 of 4 parts of the gastro-track. There are 4 muscles (or 1 that has 4 parts) that push the food thru the track and sometimes one part does not function well. There seems to be a breathtest to get more info.
My originally reply was going to be, my son (now 40) had trouble with constipation as a baby. I never told anybody but every day or when I felt he had to go, I dipped a Q-tip in baby oil and try to stimulate him. To me it was important that he tried to do it himself instead of an enema or so.
I don't know what was the problem, but luckily he outgrew it.
