Re: salt water flush

i've just started the whole detox thing - the SWF (Salt-Water-Flush) & lemon juice. i do have some concerns though, because it still seems a little "out there" to me. for example...it doesn't sound as healthy as people make it out to be, but perhaps that is old fashioned view of health that has been engrained in my head since a little child. for example...2 tsp of salt - i thought that much sodium was not good for you because of the high blood pressure or whatever it caused. also, the maple syrup and pepper in the lemon juice...i don't get it? and what's the difference between grade a,b,c,d,e,f,g,etc of maple syrup?

while i've decided to do it because i feel i need to do something drastic in order to change my eating habits, i can't help but wonder if i'm being a sucker because of all my questions about the "seemingly" irrationality of the whole bit. i don't want to come out of this with a whole bunch of other health issues to worry about. can anyone aleviate my concerns/worries?

p.s. that SWF (Salt-Water-Flush) thing is pretty darn nasty, but i must say it does the job. is it okay to maybe lower the dose of salt if the effectiveness seems to stay the same, or is that simply not done?
