Re: altered state of consciousness

Though I didn't believe there was any real risk, that was part of my thinking, too, actually:  "Even if there's a little harm, it's better to have tried."

I first took (doctor prescribed) mebendazole over a year ago and it helped, but the infection returned not long after.  I first took albendazole, pyrantel, praziquantel, ivermectin, etc. about a month and a half ago (iirc).  I had some herxing, passed many worms (visible in the toilet), and then felt much, much better.  I did 3 courses of varying length (by type of drug and how I felt) separated by a week.

Sorry for the delay responding; I've been immersed in research on genetics, nutrigenomics, and methylation and such after finding that I have ~25 mutations/SNPs that affect methylation and detox, which effectively 'weaken' the body (generally..metabolism, immune system, etc.) and apparently increase susceptibility to disease, parasite infection, etc.  You may want to look into this, too.  I ordered my DNA test from 23andme.com (used a fake name; I don't trust them), processed my raw results through GeneticGenie.org to learn about the mutations affecting detox/methylation, and have been reading the work of Dr. Amy Yasko and a few others.
