The problem is that nobody believes what Jesus taught
"You don't see the phrase "eternal life"
as being saved in the judgment. You think there is no death. Am I right ?
Ezekiel 18:20 The soul that sinneth, it shall die...
1John 3:4 ...for sin is the transgression of the law.
Matthew 19:17 ...but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments."
Bodies die. Spirit never dies. Even the evangelicals believe
that. (They think that they either go to a "heaven" or a
"hell.") I have repeated over and over again the scriptures
where Jesus said that God doesn't judge and that Jesus doesn't judge but that
doesn't seem to sink in. When you are in the presence of your creator
(everyone was created by god and all will return) - God won't judge you, you
will judge your own past. And as long as you continue to judge yourself
and others, you will experience death. When you quit judging, you will
enter into life. It is no more complicated than that.
Sin is violating the Golden Rule which Jesus said was the entire bible -
scriptures far greater in size than what is accepted today. If you follow
the Golden Rule you will not violate "the commandments."
We are each one made in the image of God.... like it or not, so is Hitler,
Sadam, Pat Robertson, each race and ethnic variation of people, you and I and
all the rest. God is eternal. We are all eternal. It's
biblical. If you not only read the following passage in Genesis but also
search where Jesus said the kingdom of god is at (within you), you will make
your own discovery. The bible supports it, but you can discover it for
yourself too.
Genesis 1:26 Then God said, "Let us make man in
our image, after our likeness; and let them have dominion over the fish of the
sea, and over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth,
and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth." So God created
man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he
created them.
Beej, you do a good job of searching the scriptures. It's also easy to
carry on a two-way communication with both God and Jesus and when you do that
you will learn things that no one can teach you from any book.
