I have a spinal injury with nerve damage and also suffer with the deep nerve pain and burning from infammation. There are times even clothes hurt and a gentle touch is agonizing. I've been in a wheelchair nearly six years. Sometimes I can get some relief with magnesium oil. Soaking in a tub would be ideal, but I cannot do that. Even just rubbing the oil on painful spots helps though. Magnesium supplements also bring relief, but too much can cause diarrhea. As far as diet is concerned I cannot eat nightshade vegetables without pain, this includes fresh tomatoes. I also have to be careful about bread, sometimes it triggers pain, but other times I crave it.
