Re: more info on parsley and parsley root
I will address these questions by posting your questions...followed by my answers
you said
Im making some juice for her, 40% beetroot, 40% carrot and 20% celery/spinach, is spinach good for kidney patients? is this juice good for kidneys will it make her feel better?
the juices are just one part of the whole 29 step program...I do not feel spinach alone is enough to heal her..do all the steps for optimal results and your miracle
this first juice (the 40% etc) is the one schulze said was the best in general juice but the spinach and such is specific to the kidneys
I read in one of your steps to have cranberries, are they good for the kidneys?
cranberries are more for bladder infections and I do not think they are essential but a good drink for kidney in general so you can, if desired, use the unsweetened juice or dried in tea, it is fine but do not overflood her with fluids..you need to get the ten most essential ones I listed in one of my answers in her first..prioritize and the others if she is getting in all the most essential ones I listed there I would save it for when out maybe or something like that.
I must mention that
Bernard Jensen one of schulze's teachers, a prolific author and who lived to be 90 something years old, did not feel cranberries should be taken in by anyone and were not healthful so some controversy on that one
Also in my garden i grow lemongrass, i was wondering, would it be alright to give her lemongrass tea?
I am uncertain if this is harmful to the kidney patient or not.
I personally do not think with all the many other fluid the sick person is taking, this is necessary as some think too many fluids is bad..be sure to take the dandelion greens daily and lots of it as this acts like lasix on water retention some studies on animals showed and be sure to stand up to the neck in a pool or lake one hour toes pointing down daily to help process all the fluids (and I don't man pee in the pool by that lol) see that step about it works like dialysis for more on that. as far as the lemongrass, making a little tea and cooling it in refrig and adding to some of the juices might be tasty.
My neighbour grows fenugreek, so i got some from her, so what should i do with the fenugreek? Use it in salads or tea? Should i use fenugreek seeds and make tea? I have never used fenugreek except in capsules so not that familiar with it.
no I do not think it is necessary to take this but I guess she could..in salads but she should really be juice fasting for at least 30 days. I guess I would say optional and only if she has the more essential fluids in first
I also give her heaps of
Watermelon juice, should i include it in the beetroot, carrot and
Celery juice for taste?
no don't do that. try to take your veggies and fruits separately separate by an hour or more I would say. the only fruit that one can mix with veggies for taste is apple
You might try adding them to an organic veggie juice like knudsens which will make them real tasty IMO. I sometimes add a healthy salad dressing or veganaisse (if not juicefasting)..someone said they feel adding onion or garlic helps. I am not sure if this is good as far as changing the alkaline nature of juices to acidic (which is not good) but I sometimes add raw apple cider vinegar or lemon juice for taste. But no to adding the
Watermelon to the veggie juices
I'm going to buy Parsley and Parsley root and i'm looking for burdock and burdock root, its hard to find burdock but i'll do my best,
Order herbpharm burdock blend tincture online (get several at once to save shipping and handling)..I am sure one of the many people selling it ships overseas.
when i get parsley, what do i do with it, cut it up and put it in my juicer i'm a bit confused with this bit.
you can juice it, if not juice fasting, use in salads and recipes (dining in the raw has lots of recipes using a lot of parsley order the book on ebay or amazon), you can use in teas (whether fresh or dried), make a tincture of both the tops and regular parsley and one just using the root (parsley root) definitely see the additional info I added on parsley elsewhere for you for more on this one
I'm going to look for cayenne - but what do i do with it.
take the hottest cayenne your sister can stand. Work up to it. go to herballegacy.com and type cayenne in the search and see how to use it as a tea and how to start at 1/4 teas and wok up to I think he said one teasp (maybe one tbs) 3 times a day.
but I would use a tinctures,..quicker not so hard and goes right into the blood take 3-5 times a day..follow label directions or take 2 dropperfuls 3-5 times a day
last choice would be capsules.
Be sure to take it when taking other tincture or herbs as cayenne is a catalyst herb and makes any herb it is taken with work better and much more effectively. schulze tried to add it to many of his formula and his nickname is professor cayenne. Also try that plague tonic I mentioned in another answer I wrote for you.
and what do i do with the dandelion leaves/greens/roots?
You should juice it...take 2 grams per 2.2 of body weight..this is very important..do daily. Be sure to double check this in the dandelion step to verify I got the right amount ok
If not fasting you can eat it raw or even cooked like adding raw apple cider or somethings. Add a little to soups if desired.
Should i give her lots of spinach and cucumber as well? If so in what form?
yes use them together..juice them
if not juice fasting eat them raw. I really like the raw spinach soup in the book dining in the raw which also uses among other things parsley and garlic so excellent and you make it in a blender and I think it taste good enough to take to potlucks. I took it to a raw food potluck once and people loved it. It is in the raw soup section of her book. I think a good way to eat cukes is with raw apple cider vinegar neat (straight) with added
Sea Salt . I also like chopped cukes and tomatoes with mayonaisse (I not longer use mayonnaise due to some chemicals in it so use homemade or I love veganaisse (grapeseed extract one) better. It taste even better than mayo'
